(25News Now) - It was sectional semifinal day in Class 3A baseball on Wednesday. At the 3A Metamora sectional, the Cinderella run for Peoria Richwoods continues. The Knights rallied from two runs down in the 9th inning to stun Streator 5-3. They will take on Rock Island in the sectional final. The Rocks beat Morton 4-1 to advance to Saturday’s sectional championship game at Metamora.
On Thursday, Normal Community is set to be in action in a Class 4A sectional at Illinois Wesleyan. The Ironmen are set to battle Minooka in what will be a matchup of Division I pitchers. NCHS is set to throw Louisville Commit Ethan Eberle while Minooka is scheduled to throw Arizona commit Ryan Anderson.
