UPDATE: Police look for suspect in February homicide

BLOOMINGTON (25News Now) - The McLean County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man wanted for a February homicide in rural Bloomington.
Wednesday, the McLean County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Desmond Sterling, 23, who is believed to have fled the Bloomington-Normal area.
Sterling is a suspect in the death of Kiejoun Watts, 20, of Bloomington who was found February 20 outside Victory Church on U.S. Highway 150 on February 20. The coroner said Watts, a Rivian worker, died from a gunshot wound.
Watts’ mother spoke with 25News just days after her son’s death.

Police released photos of Sterling, who is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds with a slight to medium build, thin mustache, short black hair and brown eyes.
Sterling is considered armed and dangerous.
Police said If he’s spotted, do not approach, call 911 and report your sighting to local law enforcement.
Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the McLean County Sheriff’s Office smartphone app and “submit a tip” or by calling the sheriff’s office directly at 309-888-5019 ext. 8.
The McLean County Circuit Clerk’s website shows Sterling is charged with three murder counts. His bond is $2 million.
