UPDATE: 1 person dead, another wounded Monday night in the West Bluff
UPDATE (9:45 p.m.) - A shooting Monday night in Peoria’s West Bluff neighborhood has left one person dead and another person injured, but no information is available about any suspects.
Peoria Police Spokesperson Semone Roth said officers responded about 8:45 p.m. to 2000 block of North Gale Avenue after a ShotSpotter alert indicated five rounds had been fired.
First-responders said they found a female who had been shot, but her injuries are not life-threatening, according to police.
Police then found a male victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said there have been no arrests, and no suspect information is available.
This is Peoria’s 8th homicide this year.
PEORIA (25News Now) - Peoria Police are investigating a Monday night shooting on the city’s West Bluff neighborhood.
Police sent out a notice at 9:10 p.m. that they have closed down the intersection of Gale and Bourland Avenues.
A police dispatcher confirmed there was a shooting but provided no other information.
A 25News crew is on the scene gathering information.
Peoria Police said earlier in the day that it was investigating a pair of shootings early Sunday morning that left six people hospitalized, including a man in critical condition.
