PEORIA (25News Now) - Peoria Police say six people were wounded, one critically, in a pair of separate shootings early Sunday morning.

The shootings happened when shots were fired from one vehicle into another near Knoxville Avenue and War Memorial Drive. The other happened at Grandview Park, according to police.

Officers were called about 1:15 a.m. after four of the gunshot victims showed up at the emergency room of a local hospital. Just before that, police were at the rear lot of Peoria High School where there were several vehicles, many of which left when police arrived.

Later, two other gunshot victims arrived at the hospital, apparently from the Grandview Park shooting.

Police said a 22-year-old man from the first shooting suffered wounds to the arm and chest, and is listed in critical, but stable condition. Three others from that shooting are described as “stable.” They are an 18-year-old man who was shot in the knee, a 22-year-old man who was shot in the leg, hip and cheek and another 22-year-old man with a graze wound to his right tricep.

The two teenaged victims from the shooting at Grandview Park are also said to be in stable condition. They are a 17-year-old boy who was shot in the lower abdomen and a 16-year-old who was shot in the foot.

Police said they have no information about any suspects. Police expect to put out a news release Tuesday about the weekend shootings.
