PEORIA (25News Now) - You’ll probably want to grab the extra layer out the door this Friday morning, as temperatures have dipped into the low to mid 40s prior to daybreak. The combination of sunny skies and dry air will allow for quick warming, so temperatures should warm to around 70° by noon. Afternoon highs are forecast to climb into the upper 70s across central Illinois. The weather will be gorgeous for any Friday evening plans!

Nice weather is on tap for this extended weekend! Cool mornings will be followed up by mild afternoons each day through Monday. The extended forecast continues to feature strong signals for the temperatures to climb even further through the middle of next week. High temperatures in the low 90s appear likely Tuesday - Friday. The forecast aims to remain very dry and sunny through next Wednesday. Isolated to scattered storm chances may return by the end of next week, as a result of increasing levels of humidity.
