Stabbing suspect enters not guilty plea

PEORIA (25News Now) - A man accused of stabbing a woman earlier this month has entered a not guilty plea.
Fifty-four-year-old Alton Russell is charged with aggravated domestic battery after allegedly stabbing a woman inside a home on North Devonshire Drive.
The woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police add Russell ignored officer commands and was taken into custody.
Russell’s trial is set for July. He’s due back in court next month.
