REWARD: U.S. Postal Service offers $50k reward in wake of armed robbery of Peoria postal worker

PEORIA (25News Now) - The U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the law enforcement arm of the U.S. Postal Service, is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of two juvenile suspects in the armed robbery of a postal worker in Peoria.
The robbery occurred at around 12:35 p.m. Monday in the area of 1701 W. Ayres Avenue in Peoria.
Both suspects fled on foot.
They are described as two Black men, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing dark facial coverings over the bottom half of their faces.
One of the suspects was wearing a black hoodie. The other was wearing a red hoodie.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455 and say “Law Enforcement” and reference case number 4041851-ROBB.
All information will be kept strictly confidential.
The postal worker was robbed of his key ring containing mailbox keys.
The suspects reportedly ran eastbound on Ayres.
The postal worker was not injured.
