Woman displaced after fire damages Canton home

CANTON (25News Now) - Fire damaged a Canton home on Tuesday, displacing a woman who lived there.
The woman and her cat made it out safely after fire broke out at the home in the 700 block of North Avenue B, between West Birch and Myrtle Streets.
Fire crews got the call about 11:30 a.m. They saw fire and heavy smoke on the south side of the house and found fire in the kitchen and dining room.
A dollar estimate of the damage was not available.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
