Warm and dry work week

PEORIA (25News Now) - Temperatures will continue to climb through the midweek before a dry cold front brings more seasonably mild temperatures for the second half of the work week. Dry conditions will continue through the holiday, so keep the watering hose handy!

Monday: It’ll be a comfortable start to the work week with temperatures trending in the lower 50′s for most as you head out for the morning commute. A light jacket or sweatshirt may be needed this morning, but you’ll be trading it in for the t-shirt by lunchtime. Temperatures will steadily climb through the morning as southwesterly winds continue to drive warmer air into Central Illinois. Midday temperatures will trend in the mid to upper 70′s before daytime highs reach the lower 80′s. Expect partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies through much of the day.

The Next Few Days: Temperatures will continue to climb Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the mid 80′s expect. A dry cold front will pass through the region Wednesday evening into Wednesday night, bringing cooler, more seasonal temperatures for the second half of the work week.

We’ll go from the mid 80′s back to the lower 70′s for Thursday before we begin to warm back up heading into the holiday weekend.

Memorial Day Weekend looks warm and dry with highs in the upper 80′s by Monday. Any rain chance looks to hold off until later next week.
