Several juveniles involved in fights at Peoria Speedway Carnival

PEORIA (25News Now) - Farmington Road, near the Peoria Speedway, is back open after being shut down Saturday evening due to a large group of juveniles causing issues at the carnival.

According to Peoria County Sheriff Chris Watkins, a number of unsupervised juveniles got into a fight in one area and then took off running down Farmington Road and fought in that second location as well.

Watkins says due to the large size of the group, they called Peoria Police to assist. He says several juveniles were detained but no arrests were made.

The roadway opened back up Saturday night.
