Getting warmer the next few days

PEORIA (25News Now) - If you enjoyed Saturday’s forecast, the next several days will be a treat as our forecast remains on repeat. High pressure will continue to drive the forecast with lots of sunshine and warmer temperatures.

Sunday: Temperatures will start off cool again this morning with temperatures trending in the upper 40′s to lower 50′s at daybreak. Sunny skies and southwesterly winds will help drive warmer temperatures into the region, quickly warming us up throughout the day. Lunchtime temperatures will trend in the mid to lower 70′s before daytime highs trend near 80 degrees. Overall, we’ll trend a few degrees warmer than Saturday.

Next Week: Temperatures will continue to climb for the first half of the work week, bringing a preview of more summer-like conditions to Central Illinois. Temperatures will trend in the 80′s before a backdoor cold front slides in from Canada Wednesday night. This cold front will bring more seasonal temperatures into the region for the end of the work week with highs in the 70′s.

Despite this passing front, our forecast will remain dry through the holiday weekend before any rain chance arrives!
