Sunny skies continue, warming up next week
Highs will climb into the 80s for most of our forecast
PEORIA (25News Now) - Our weather will remain very quiet across Central Illinois for the next week and a half, including warm conditions and limited rain chances. Forecast models have dropped our temperatures a little for the end of next week, but overall seasonably warm is expected for the majority of our 10 Day Forecast.
Tonight and Tomorrow:
Clear skies will continue overnight and into tomorrow morning. It’ll be another cool and comfortable morning with lows in the upper 40s.
Tomorrow will be a repeat of today with plenty of sunshine, although we will be a few degrees higher with highs reaching the upper 70s. A few spots may sneak into the low 80s.
Early Next Week:
We may see a few additional clouds early in the week, but mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies will continue.
Highs will also be a little warmer in the low 80s on Monday and mid 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Late Next Week:
Forecast models have introduced the possibility of a backdoor cold front that could slide into Central Illinois late this week. If this pans out, it could drop our highs back into the low 80s on Thursday and Friday. This front looks dry, so mostly sunny skies are still expected to continue.
Memorial Day Weekend:
Summer-like heat will return just in time for the unofficial start of summer next weekend. Highs will rebound back into the mid to upper 80s.
Dry weather is expected through Sunday, but a few showers or storms may be possible on Memorial Day and/or the following Tuesday.
