PEORIA (25News Now) - It’s officially that time of year again!
The Peoria Riverfront Farmer’s Market is back open for the season.
Hundreds of families along with their dogs walked along the Riverfront visiting local vendors.
Opening weekend brought out the food vendors where the lines were long especially for the pretzels.
For many small business owners, this market helps with exposure and introducing themselves to the broader Peoria community.
”Already on the first day, it’s been good for us. We’re a small restaurant located in Campus town and with students leaving it’s been a little bit slow and students are gone for the summer, so the market is a huge benefit for us. It’ll probably what will keep us a float for the long run of our restaurant as well,” explains Jam Rohr, the owner of Radish Kitchen, a vegan based restaurant.
This is the area’s bigger farmer’s market.
The fun continued with live music at the Neon Bison.
