PEORIA (25News Now) - Temperatures will be a bit cool to begin the weekend, but plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures will build throughout the weekend.

After a wet start to Friday morning, conditions quickly dried out to begin the weekend behind a passing cold front. This cold front has brought a noticeable drop in temperatures which will continue this morning. You’ll likely need a sweater or light jacket as will run in the mid 40′s to lower 50′s around daybreak.

Temperatures will steadily climb throughout the day under sunny skies as high pressure begins to drive our forecast for the next several days. It’ll be a great late spring morning to enjoy the first weekend of the Peoria Riverfront Market. Expect daytime highs the lower 70′s this afternoon.
