Peoria Riverfront Market opens for 20th anniversary Saturday

PEORIA (25News Now) - Peoria’s Riverfront Market makes a 20th anniversary return Saturday morning.

More than 100 vendors are expected to line the green space between the Riverfront and the museum and Caterpillar Visitor Center.

In addition to the area farmers market vendors, at least one riverfront restaurant will offer breakfast.

“So, it’s very exciting,” said Sharon Gramm, Executive Director of the Peoria Riverfront Association. “You know, this market started before a lot of Farmers Markets were popular, and we’ve grown every year, especially the last 10 to 15 years. We’ve really seen an increase of vendors and shoppers.

The market runs Saturday mornings from 8-12 noon though the summer.
