PEORIA (25News Now) - Check out some of the events happening on Mother’s Day!
Old State Hospital Bazaar
Spend your day at a bazaar on the old Peoria State Hospital grounds! It’s more than a common vendor fair — it’s a flea market, an art show, and a craft show combined into one event. You’ll also be able to find information on historical and paranormal tours, meet local authors, view Peoria State Hospital Museum displays, and grab food.
When: May 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Central Illinois Flea Market
It’s the second Sunday of the month, which means the Central Illinois Flea Market is open! Shop antiques, collectibles, art, and more from over 120 vendors at the Peoria Speedway. There will be food trucks on site as well. This month, half of all door proceeds will go to the Children’s Home Academy for Autism.
When: May 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Peoria Speedway

Mother’s Day Flea Market
You can also take your mom to Princeton for the Mother’s Day Flea Market at the Bureau County Fairgrounds. Shop new and used items like antiques, collectibles, and crafts from a variety of vendors.
When: May 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Where: Bureau County Fairgrounds in Princeton
Cost: Free admission

Muffins with Mom
Stop by the Zambezi River Lodge at Peoria Zoo’s Africa exhibit today to enjoy “Muffins with Mom” while also celebrating their zoo mothers.
When: May 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Where: Peoria Zoo
Cost: All moms get free admission with a paying child

Mother’s Day Garden Tours
Swing over to Luthy Botanical Garden and take a leisurely stroll on a garden tour with Garden Manager, Bob Streitmatter. No advance registration is required.
When: May 14 at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.
Where: Luthy Botanical Garden in Peoria
Cost: Free, but donations appreciated
