(25News Now) - We got a great ball game at the annual Heart of Illinois Conference Softball Showcase on Saturday in Normal. Tremont rallied from a two-run deficit in the sixth inning to knock off Heyworth 3-2 in a battle of teams that will be 1-seeds in next week’s regionals. Elsewhere in softball, Normal U-High exploded for 14 runs in a 14-0 win over Morton while IVC got head coach Max Bundy a win on his 66th birthday with a 7-2 win over Peru St. Bede.
In baseball, Normal West fell to Kaneland 8-1.
In lacrosse, Washington stormed past Minooka 19-2 and Bloomington-Normal edged Lemont 9-6.
