Peoria Police investigate attempted theft of an ATM

PEORIA (25News Now) - Peoria Police are investigating the attempted Monday morning theft of an ATM.

Spokesperson Semone Roth says police were called to a business in the 4900 block of West American Prairie for a report of someone trying to steal an ATM with a truck.

Police discovered the truck unoccupied along with a damaged ATM as well as burglary tools on scene.

No money was stolen, according to Roth.

A K-9 search of the area did not turn up suspects.

There is currently no suspect information.
