(25News Now) - Friday night in high school sports was headlined by a busy night of track and field events around the area. Pekin hosted their annual Dragon Invite. East Peoria hosted their Meet of Champions. Metamora hosted their Mach Speed & Flight Night and Eureka hosted the Roger Washburn Invitational.
In baseball, Peoria Notre Dame picked up a 2-1 win over East Peoria in a Mid-Illini vs. Big Twelve battle. Elsewhere, Pekin beat Peoria Richwoods 11-8.
In softball, Washington got a non-conference win 10-0 over Bloomington while Olympia did the same 10-1 over Normal West. In the Prairieland Conference, Brimfield topped Lewistown.
