Peoria Rivermen down Pensacola 2-1 in quarterfinals Game 2, advance to SPHL semifinals

PEORIA (25News Now) - The Peoria Rivermen are headed back to the SPHL semifinals. The defending league champions swept their SPHL quarterfinal series against the Pensacola IceFlyers with a 2-1 win on Saturday night at Carver Arena.
Captain and Peoria native Alec Hagaman scored the game’s first goal to put the Rivermen in front and they never trailed from that point on.
The Rivermen will now play in next week’s league semifinals against either Roanoke or Fayetteville.
