(25News Now) - It was an emotional Saturday of soccer at Peoria Notre Dame as the Irish hosted Dunlap and remembered their dear friend Tessa Sutton before the game. The Irish presented the Eagles with a check for $2,000 to go to the Tessa Sutton Foundation. As for the game, PND beat Dunlap 2-0. Elsewhere in soccer, Morton topped Peoria Richwoods 3-1.
In baseball, Normal U-High rallied to beat Morton 9-8. In the Twin Cities, a seventh inning rally lifted Metamora over Bloomington 10-8. Elsewhere in non-conference action, IVC beat Peoria Richwoods 9-6.
In softball, Metamora swept a doubleheader over Chicago Loyola while Brimfield outlasted IVC 5-2 in 11 innings.
