Peoria Park District wants community’s input for new Glen Oak Park playground
PEORIA (25News Now) - As the current Glen Oak Park Tri-Centennial Playground equipment eventually comes down this year, the Peoria Park District wants the community’s help in choosing the new playground landscape to put in its place.
There are two renderings the park district is considering. It will be the first fully inclusive playground in the park district.
Both options are fully accessible with only a few different in either feature, like a zip line.
The plans also include new recreation shelters, new bathrooms and basketball courts.
Park District Executive Director Emily Cahill says they want to make sure the park district offers the best experience possible - and that means giving them a new playground.
The new playground is scheduled to be completed toward the end of this year.
