25 Sports High School Saturday - April 8, 2023
(25News Now) - It was a busy Saturday of high school sports across Central Illinois. In baseball, Bloomington swept a doubleheader against Peoria Richwoods, winning 9-6 and 15-0. Elsewhere, East Peoria picked up a nice non-conference win, 5-1 over Normal U-High. Meanwhile, Canton beat Pontiac 9-7 in eight innings.
In softball, Normal West scored a 2-1 victory over Pontiac in non-conference action. East Peoria, meanwhile, got a 7-1 win over Williamsville behind a no-hitter from Meadow Terry. Elsewhere, Tremont beat Normal U-High 3-1.
In soccer, Normal Community beat Bloomington 7-1 in Intercity Tournament action.
In track, Metamora hosted their annual co-ed meet. Normal Community won both the boys and girls team titles.
