Illini, Bradley standouts enter transfer portal, NBA Draft
(25News Now) - Tuesday was another busy day of player movement in the college basketball offseason with two Illini standouts and one Bradley guard making decisions about their futures.
Illini freshman guard Jayden Epps announced that he has entered his name in the transfer portal. Epps was the most productive of the Orange and Blue’s freshman class in 2022-23, averaging 9.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in his freshman season.

Meanwhile, Illini forward Coleman Hawkins announced his intentions to enter his name into the 2023 NBA Draft while maintaining his eligibility. Viewed by most to be a potential second-round pick thanks to his length and versatility, Hawkins averaged 9.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game in his third season with Illinois.

Bradley also had another player make a move away from the program today. Guard Zek Montgomery announced that he will enter the transfer portal. Montgomery started 25 games for the Braves this season, averaging 8.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per game and shooting a team-best 42% from beyond the arc.
