(25News Now) - East Peoria softball made its in-state debut on Tuesday. After five games in Tennessee over spring break, the always talented Raiders got their first Central Illinois win with a 9-6 victory over Normal Community. Elsewhere in softball, Washington also played its first in-state game and got an 11-1 win against Streator.
On the soccer field, Morton beat Canton 9-0 in a Mid-Illini battle.
In baseball, Morton blanked Peoria Notre Dame 13-0 behind a five-inning no-hitter from Spencer Timm. Elsewhere, Washington edged Galesburg 4-3, IVC beat Eureka 7-2 and Canton and Brimfield tied 9-9 after the game was called for darkness.
