2 arrested on numerous offenses after shots reportedly fired Wednesday in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON (25News Now) - 2 people have been arrested on numerous offenses after Bloomington Police officers responded to a Wednesday call for shots fired.

Taliayah Madaris, 19, was arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon under 21, aggravated use of a weapon, aggravated discharge of a firearm, mob action and illegal possession of ammunition.

Khabriyah Payne, 18, was arrested for mob action.

On Wednesday, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Macarthur Avenue and observed two subjects fleeing the area, matching the description provided by multiple callers.

The two were stopped and patted down. A pistol was located on one.

A K-9 was brought in for a possible track. More evidence was located indicating a shot(s) fired incident had occurred.
