25 Sports High School Monday - March 20, 2023
CENTRAL ILLINOIS (25News Now) - The Central Illinois high school sports community all became Prairie Central Hawks Monday. Central Illinois coaches, athletes, and fans are all sending support to Prairie Central high school after the heartbreaking news that two star student-athletes Drew Fehr and Dylan Bazzell both died in a sledding accident in Colorado.
Several high school teams Monday taking advantage of the sunny weather. In baseball, Normal West defeats Pekin 13-8, Metamora falls to Orion 7-6, and Eureka defeats Olympia 8-2.
In softball, Normal U-High defeats intercity rival Bloomington 13-1. In soccer, Peoria Richwoods defeats IVC 8-0.
Also Monday, Clinton hosted a last chance girls track meet at Shirk Center ahead of the upcoming Top Times track meet.
