Pope Creek Shows Gun & Knife Show

Pope Creek Shows Gun & Knife Show is back at Exposition Gardens in Peoria. Vendors from all over will be in attendance to showcase their different types of weapons and ammunition. Products include vintage guns, custom holsters, and different blades for knife fans.

When: March 19 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Where: Exposition Gardens in Peoria

March Makers Market

DESTIHL Brewery is partnering with 100 Women for Good to celebrate Women’s History Month. The March Makers Market will showcase handcrafted goods from local, women-owned businesses. Confirmed vendors include Bee Glass Art, Casey’s Garden Shop & Florist, and Fabrikate.

When: March 19 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

World Down Syndrome Day Celebration

The organization Extra Love is spreading awareness about Down Syndrome with its Third Annual World Down Syndrome Day Celebration. There will be food, a bake sale, music, face painting, raffles, and more at the celebration. Because of cold weather, the location for the event has been moved inside to Shandy’s Pub & Grub in Henry.

When: March 19 from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.

March Jazz Concert

How about joining the Central Illinois Jazz Society for a night of delightful music? Kicking off the concert will be the CIJS house band led by Larry Harms. Performer David Hoffman will then hit the stage with a selection of jazz standards and original tunes.

Lily Show

Experience a community tradition and greet spring at Luthy Botanical Garden’s Lily Show. Explore the “Secret Garden” and enjoy the beautiful flowers on display in the lush, tropical conservatory.

When: On display through April 9 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., seven days a week

Where: Luthy Botanical Garden, 2520 N. Prospect Road in Peoria

Cost: Free, but donations are appreciated

Spring Break Camp

Spring break is almost here, meaning some parents may need to arrange some sort of childcare for the week. Luckily, ART Inc. is hosting a one-of-a-kind spring break camp. The camp is open for 1st through 8th graders and will include a wide range of STEM and artistic activities, including classes on costume design, gardening, and video game coding.

When: March 27 - 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Where: Romain Art & Culture Center, 919 NE Jefferson Street in Peoria

Cost: $40/day or $150 for the week (meals and supplies provided)
