Friday night shooting leaves one with critical injuries

PEORIA (25News Now) - A man is in the hospital with what Peoria Police are calling critical injuries after a Friday night shooting in Peoria.
In a statement, Peoria Police Spokeswoman Semone Roth says Peoria Police officers heard shots in the 800 block of West Thrush around 9 PM Friday night, followed by a 24 round Shot Spotter alert in the same location.
Police add officers were informed that a vehicle was seen driving down West Thrush, with the people inside randomly firing shots. Several homes and vehicles were hit by the gunfire.
Police say during the investigation, they learned a man was dropped off at a local hospital by private vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds.
Officers found a discarded handgun in the area where the shootings occurred.
The incident is under investigation, and there is no suspect information at this time.
