PEORIA (25News Now) - The Riverplex was seeing double Saturday and turned into a giant consignment shop.
Parents with twins and more sets were able to come out to shop for their children.
The Peoria Mothers of Twins hosted the event to provide parents with an easy way to find matching sets and outfits.
Close to 500 families came out and 25 mothers were personally selling their gently used clothes.
President of Peoria Mothers of Twins, Lindsay Verdun says, as a mother of fraternal twin girls, she understands the struggle of buying in doubles and finding a community. ”I have fraternal twin girls and I loved matching them. Finding anything at a good reasonable price was definitely hard. Being able to come here and meet other moms was just an added bonus. Our biggest thing is we just love being able to mentor or help those in the community with multiples,” said Verdun.
This sale has been going on for about 30 years and another one is expected in the fall during the final weekend of September.
