Shot Spotter: dozens of rounds fired in south Peoria from fully automatic weapon

PEORIA (25News Now) - Peoria Police were called early Wednesday evening to a south side neighborhood where a Shot Spotter alert indicated 30 rounds were fired from a fully automatic weapon.

A police spokesperson said officers were called just before 6:55 p.m. to the 2300 block of West Garden Street, near South Westmoreland Avenue. No one was wounded or injured from the gunfire, according to police.

No suspect information was immediately available.
