(25News Now) - The Illini spent Wednesday on the practice floor in Des Moines as they gear up for their first-round NCAA Tournament matchup against Arkansas on Thursday. 9th-seeded Illinois and the 8th-seeded Razorbacks are set to tip at 3:30 p.m. in the tournament’s opening round and there are a number of storylines to keep an eye including Arkansas’ talent, the Illini finally being back at full health and Illinois forward Matthew Mayer trying to win a second National Championship after accomplishing the feat in 2021 with Baylor.
