(25News Now) - The first week of the spring sports season continued on Tuesday with plenty of action.
On the soccer field, Normal Community tied Metamora 1-1. Elsewhere, Pekin scored an opening-day win with a 3-1 victory over Bloomington Central Catholic
In softball, Bloomington Central Catholic edged Olympia 2-1 in Illini Prairie action.
In baseball, East Peoria outbattled IVC 8-4. Elsewhere, Limestone fell to Orion 7-0.
In track action, Normal West won the Big 12 Boys Indoor Meet at the Shirk Center.
