PEORIA (25News Now) - Our weather will stay quiet over the next 24-36 hours, but rain chances will go up later this week as temperatures go down.

Tonight and Tomorrow:

We’ll see mainly clear skies continue throughout the evening and into tonight. Lows tomorrow morning will fall back into the mid to upper 20s.

Winds will shift tonight into tomorrow, coming out of the south, which will help us warm up into the mid 50s tomorrow afternoon. Winds may be a little breezy at times, gusting upward of 25 mph. Expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies tomorrow, although more clouds are possible later in the day.

Thursday and Friday:

Rain will be likely on Thursday, starting sometime during the second half of the morning. Showers will continue through lunchtime and into the afternoon, although we may see a break in the rain during the middle and end of the afternoon.

Rain will be likely at times throughout the day on Thursday.

Additional showers will be likely Thursday evening into Thursday night and possibly early Friday morning. Depending on how quickly colder air moves in and how quickly rain moves out, it’s not impossible to see a mix or change to snow late Thursday night and early Friday morning.

We’ll be cloudy, colder and windy behind the front for St. Patrick’s Day. Wind gusts will reach upward of 40+ with highs only in the mid to upper 30s.
