Traffic stop leads to arrest for gun offense

BLOOMINGTON (25News Now) - A Normal man was arrested for allegedly possessing a firearm while not being legally able to do so.
The Bloomington Police Department says Darius Blakley, 21, was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon during a traffic stop Saturday, March 11, near the intersection of White Oak Road and Market Street.
According to a release, it was determined Blakley did not have a valid driver’s license and officers found a firearm while doing an inventory of the vehicle.
Police say the firearm belonged to Blakely.
He was arrested without incident.
