Metamora celebrates its basketball state championship

METAMORA (25News Now) - The Metamora boys basketball team is back home as state champions.
The Redbirds returned from Champaign Sunday with a parade and a full house of community members inside the high school’s gym to celebrate the program’s first state title after knocking off Chicago Simeon 46-42 in overtime Saturday in the Class 3A state championship game.
