Illinois a 9-seed in NCAA Tournament, Bradley to visit Wisconsin in NIT Tournament

(25News Now) - For the third straight year, Illinois is NCAA Tournament bound. The Illini are a No. 9 seed in this year’s NCAA Tournament in the West Region. Illinois will face the No. 8 seed Arkansas Thursday in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Illini are one of eight Big Ten teams to make this year’s tournament. Purdue, Indiana, Michigan State, Northwestern, Maryland, Iowa, and Penn State are all tournament bound.

Meanwhile, the Bradley Braves are bound for the NIT Tournament. The Braves will travel to Wisconsin to take on the Badgers out of the Big Ten Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. in the first round of the NIT.
