Wanted man found, arrested on weapons offenses

PEORIA (25News Now) - A wanted man has been arrested on numerous weapons offenses and a warrant.

Peoria Police spokesperson Semone Roth says Diondre L. King was arrested for aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, reckless discharge of a firearm, no FOID and a county warrant.

He was also arrested for disorderly contact, unlawful use of a weapon and no FOID in a separate case.

At around 8:42 p.m. Thursday, surveillance was conducted on a home associated with King.

King was observed leaving the residence and getting into a vehicle.

The vehicle was followed and observed stopping at a business in the 700 block of South Western Avenue.

Officers immediately approached King and placed him into custody without incident, according to Roth.
