PEORIA (25News Now) - Intermittent lane closures will take place this weekend on the Bob Michel Bridge before its closure to vehicles starting Monday.
The Illinois Department of Transportation will detour motorists across the river on the Murray Baker Bridge that carries Interstate 74.
The Bob Michel will remain closed to vehicular traffic until November, while staying open to bikes and pedestrians throughout the project.
