PEORIA (25 News Now) - A Bradley University administrator facing felony theft charges was caught on camera stealing neighbors’ packages, according to Peoria Police reports.
Documents obtained by 25 News under the Freedom of Information Act reveal that in early February, a resident of the building on Southwest Adams reported she wasn’t getting items she bought online.
The police report said Shelley Hawkins, 66, could be seen on the video stealing a UPS package from the foyer.
The apartment complex manager told police a video camera was installed because several thefts happened there.
The police report said the alleged victim claims four items were stolen: cordless headphones, Abercrombie pants, a silk shirt, and Ray-Ban blue lensed sunglasses.
Hawkins is Bradley’s director of nursing and department chair. Pollice arrested her Feb. 21.
