GasBuddy: Average prices down over 3 cents per gallon in last week

PEORIA (25 News Now) - The average price of gas in Peoria is down 3.5 cents per gallon in the last week - now averaging $3.48 per gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy’s 148 station survey.
This makes prices in Peoria 3.8 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and 82.3 cents per gallon lower than this time last year.
The cheapest station in the River City was priced at $3.24 per gallon Sunday. The most expensive was $3.85 per gallon - a 61-cent difference.
Around Illinois, the lowest price was $2.97 per gallon. The highest was $4.68 per gallon - a $1.71 per gallon difference.
The national average price of gasoline has risen 3.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.36/g today. The national average is down 6.5 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 69.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
The average price of diesel nationwide is down 4.6 cents in the last week and is now $4.34. per gallon.
