PEORIA (25 News Now) - A now-former Peoria Public Schools employee was arrested after police say she had an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old.

Peoria Police spokesperson Semone Roth says 20-year-old Sentiryia Haywood was arrested for child pornography, criminal sexual assault, harmful material and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Peoria Public Schools says Haywood was a bus monitor.

Peoria Police responded to the 500 block of West Lake on February 17 on a report of an inappropriate relationship between a woman later identified as Haywood and the complainant’s 14-year-old son.

Over the course of the investigation, detectives found conclusive evidence that an inappropriate relationship occurred. That evidence was shared with PPS administrators who immediately relieved Haywood of her duties.

Haywood was terminated on February 22.

She was located March 2 and arrested.

She must post $5,000 to leave the Peoria County Jail.

She is set to be arraigned 10:30 a.m. March 30.
