(25 News Now) - The Missouri Valley Conference regular season champions cleaned up at the conference’s postseason awards ceremony. Bradley head coach Brian Wardle was named the MVC Coach of the Year after guiding the Braves to a regular season title. He is the sixth coach in Bradley history to take home the award. As for the players, Bradley senior forward Rienk Mast was named to the All-MVC First Team. Mast averaged 14 points and 8 rebounds per game, both of which led the Braves.

BU forward Malevy Leons was named to the All-Valley second team and more impressively was named the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year. He was the first MVC player in 32 years to post 40+ blocks and 40+ steals. Leons was also named to the Most Improved Team along with teammate Zek Montgomery.

Point guard Duke Deen was named to the MVC All-Newcomer team while Ja’Shon Henry was named to the All-Bench Team and was named the conference’s Sixth Man of the Year.

Drake’s Tucker DeVries was named the Larry Bird Conference Player of the Year.
