(25 News Now) - In Class 3A, Peoria High played in their first Super-Sectional since 2001 and beat Chicago Heights Marian 37-34 to advance to the State Final Four. The Lions were led by Denali Craig-Edwards’ 13 points and will play Lagrange Park Nazareth Academy in the state semifinals on Friday at 10 a.m.

In Class 2A, Fieldcrest came up just short of back-to-back trips to the state finals but fell to Chicago Noble/Butler 59-55 in overtime. Elsewhere in 2A, Dee-Mack’s historic, best-ever season came to an end with a 53-21 loss to defending state champion Quincy Notre Dame at the Macomb Super-Sectional. The Chiefs team will go down as the best in program history, earning the program’s first-ever sectional title as well as breaking the record for most wins with 28 on the season.

In Class 1A, Havana’s terrific run ended with a 58-45 loss to Okawville at the Brown County Super-Sectional.
