Adoption Meet and Greet

Team Rescuing Animals in Need (TRAIN) is hosting an adoption meet and greet at the East Peoria PetSmart. TRAIN is a foster-based rescue in Peoria that provides temporary homes for companion animals in danger of euthanasia until a permanent home can be found. If you’re looking for a furry friend, go out and meet some adorable dogs and puppies that are available for adoption.

When: February 26 from 11 am - 2 pm

Where: East Peoria PetSmart, 208 River Road

Black History Music Celebration

Carver Socials is hosting a Black History Music Celebration this afternoon – honoring the past, celebrating the present, and preparing for the future. Music is good for the soul, and you can enjoy local talent through the arts of dance, singing, poetry and more. There will be free refreshments and raffle prizes. African attire is encouraged.

When: February 26 from 4 - 6 pm

Where: Carver Community Center, 710 W. 3rd Street in Peoria

Cost: $10 per person
