Remaining warm the next several days
PEORIA (25 News Now) - You’re in luck if you missed out on the warmer conditions Saturday, as warmer temperatures will remain for the next several days. While it was breezy at times Saturday, the southerly winds served as the driver to our warm-up.
Sunday: Sunday will be a near carbon-copy from Saturday with highs in the mid 40′s. You can expect partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies throughout the day. Winds will remain a bit breezy, but not as strong as what we saw Saturday. Gusts only up to 20 miles per hour are expected.

The Week Ahead: Warmer temperatures will remain in place until a stronger cold front slides through the region Thursday evening into Friday. Temperatures will reach the upper 40′s to lower 50′s Monday afternoon. A weak system will pass Monday night into Tuesday morning which will bring the chance for light showers. Most of the rain is expected to fall while most are asleep, so the rain gear won’t be needed.

Our best chance for rain in the work week’s forecast will arrive Wednesday afternoon into the first half of Thursday as a larger system passes from the south. This system will likely bring widespread rain to Central Illinois, followed by colder conditions and even a few flurries by Friday.
