25 Sports High School Saturday - February 4, 2023

CENTRAL ILLINOIS (25 News Now) - Saturday boasted one of the best Saturday of the high school basketball season. Normal West hosting some of the best teams in the state for its Midwest Crossroads Shootout. The host Wildcats fall to Class 3A No. 4 and defending state champion Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin 60-42, Class 3A No. 2 Metamora gets a big win over Peoria Notre Dame 68-45, Normal Community defeats Yorkville Christian 61-42, and Bloomington falls to Class 4A No. 2 Moline 81-53.

Also Saturday, Morton boys defeat East Peoria 40-36, Washington boys get a 73-52 win over Dunlap, and Dunlap girls knock off Class 3A No. 7 Washington 47-44.

IHSA wrapped up its State Championships Saturday. Washington took 9th and Normal U-High took 10th.

Also Saturday, swimmers took to the pool for the both the Big Twelve and Mid-Illini Conference meets, and IHSA Regional Wrestling wrapped up.
