Illini use big second half to beat Wisconsin 61-51

MADISON, WI (25 News Now) - Illinois shook off shooting just 9-for-27 from the field in the first half by scoring 41 second-half points en route to a 61-51 win on the road at Wisconsin. The Badgers led 35-34 with 11 minutes to go in the game but a 22-4 run put the Illini in front for good as they won their sixth game in their last seven tries Matthew Mayer poured in a season-high 26 points to lead the Illini who now sit at 6-4 in Big Ten play as they prep for a trip to Nebraska on Tuesday.
