AutoZone employee threatened with knife, Peoria Police say

PEORIA (25 News Now) - Peoria Police are investigating an armed robbery at AutoZone on Saturday evening.

A witness told police a man came into the store and pretended to shop at the 900 block of S. Western Ave. Peoria Police confirmed the incident occurred at AutoZone around 6:30 pm.

The witness told police the man followed an employee to the back of the store and threatened the employee with a knife. Police say an undisclosed amount of money was taken from the register.

No one was injured and police have no suspect information.
