(25 News Now) - A couple of Twin Cities vs. Peoria Big 12 rivalry matchups took center stage on Friday night. At The Kitchen, Normal West topped Peoria Notre Dame 61-50. At Peoria High, the Lions outlasted Normal Community in a 57-45 win. Elsewhere in the Big 12, Peoria Manual topped Danville 59-50 while Bloomington beat Champaign Central 69-56.

In the Mid-Illini, Class 3A No. 2 Metamora pushed their winning streak to 19 games with a 75-44 win against Canton. Elsewhere, Morton topped Pekin 44-28, East Peoria beat Dunlap 73-65 and Washington got a win over Limestone 52-49.

In small schools action, Class 2A No. 3 Prairie Central got a conference win over Tolono Unity 45-36. Bloomington Central Catholic was also an Illini Prairie Conference winner with a 64-55 victory over Champaign St. Thomas More. In the ICAC, Class 1A No. 6 Illini Bluffs beat Elmwood 67-37 and Peoria Christian beat Peoria Heights xx-xx. Farmington was also a winner with a 57-37 victory against West Prairie.

In girls hoops, Morton kept their hot streak going with a 38-27 win over Pekin while Bloomington Central Catholic fell to St. Joseph-Ogden.

At Peoria Richwoods, a pair of athletics standouts signed their college letters. Volleyball standout Dejah Foster is headed to Harris-Stowe State University while wrestling star Bernard Cox made his choice to Eureka College official.
